One of my first tasks on the Transformers project was to investigate the vehicle mechanics. The Transformers, in vehicle form had to be able to be easy to use, when switching from robot form. The behaviour had to be relatively flexible to allow for different vehicles, and even AI controls.
As with previous projects, a major task I was involved with was the User Interface implementation. One of the challenges with this project was that we were trial running a new UI solution for our frontend menu. This required providing a large amount of supporting code to provide the features we had been using with our previous system.
Other features in the game I worked on were inventory management system, helped with integrating the vehicle controls with the AI system, weapon behaviour and game progression.
